Since 2014 we have been encouraging Disabled people to take part in sport and social activities alongside non-disabled people.

Our Sports  & Social coordinators are there to support you to think about the physical activity you would like to take part in and to turn this into a reality.

What we do for you:

  • Finding out about centres, clubs, classes and groups you might like to attend
  • Coming with you on your first visit to support you 
  • Helping you set personal targets and suggesting ways of achieving them

As well as supporting Disabled people to find out about and use leisure centres, community sports facilities and clubs, we also organise a range of opportunities for Disabled people ourselves. 
Sessions are free or affordable and include support from our Sport & Social Co-ordinator, coaches and trained volunteer mentors.

One activity which has had a hugely positive affect on our members is the supported swimming sessions. We have a Volunteer coordinator who will connect you with a peer mentor. They will then assist you in the pool, giving you the reassurance and support you need. This is a truly brilliant way to get out and get active.

Weekly Schedule:

Monday - Seated Yoga with Karen (zoom) 4-5pm

Thursday - Swim session (Please contact Nara to know more. We are currently restricted on numbers therefore we must know who wishes to attend each week)


WANT TO KNOW MORE?
