National Hate Crime Awareness Week is approaching. From the 10th- 17th October, the nation will be working together to say No! to Hate Crime.
Inclusion London (2020) have stated, “one in five Disabled people report that they have either experienced hostile or threatening behaviour or even been attacked.”
As a Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisation, we will continue to work with our partners, including the Metropolitan Police Service, Lambeth Council and Lambeth-based organisations in the H.O.P.E to bring about awareness of the different forms of hate crime, how to report it and how we as a community can work together to stop it from occurring.
We will be holding a socially-distanced stall outside of Brixton Underground Station on Wednesday 14th October 2020 10am-5pm.
We will be there to share resources, answer any questions and to let you know how to report any form of hate crime. We must say NO! to Hate Crime and have H.O.P.E
Please do join us to find out how we can support our community together!
